Shangrila's Lotsa Kisses
Born 04/28/09
ILR No.  278073
Lotsa Dots x Argentine Altanero

I still haven't done justice to Kisses.  Her ear fringe and bangs give her a very exotic look. She has an intense appy mom and dad and she is 1/2 Argentine so she would be a valuable addition to your breeding program.  She has very silky fiber and wonderful confirmation.  She was a huge hit at Festival in the Park, letting everyone pet her. $1250.

Shangrila's Fancy
Born 04/16/08
ILR No.  266890
Shangrila's Sally x BAL Presidio

Fancy is out of BAL Presidio's and Shangrila's Sally a Hobbes Daughter.  She is a very feminine, pretty girl.  Her full sister is Shangrila's Prissy.  She turned out to be a very, very heavy wooled adult.  And it looks like Fancy will be to.  We have bred her to Boogie Knight this Spring, because we are so pleased with Prissy's baby from Boogie, a gorgeous black silky girl.  $1800

Shangrila's Bonita
Born 10/15/08
ILR No.  276799
Cadriana ABSR x Argentine Altanero

Even though we were hoping for a traditional appaloosa with her intense appy mom and dad, we were very pleased with this beautiful 1/2 Argentine girl.  She loves to kiss and be petted and with her genes she could throw appy.  In fact our red llamas seem to be more likely to have appys than our appys.  Bonita won a Reserve Champion Heavy Wool Female at Saff 2009. Her full sister won Grand Champion Argentine at the 2010 VA Classic.  $3000.

Shangrila's Miss Lucy
Born 09/24/07
ILR No.  272497

Her second baby, a gorgeous shiny black female, Shangrila's Miss Rita out of Presidio won her class and Reserve Champion at her first show and two Grand Champions after that.  That's Coal in the background at She just gave us a tiny Boogie Knight daughter, Darlin. Since both parents are 39" we think Darlin with be a "Mini". We did have them packaged together but Darlin is now sold.  Miss Judy is confirmed pregnant to Boogie Knight. $1250

Shangrila's Lizzie
Born 09/24/07
ILR No.  272496
Shangrila's Mango Tango  x Power Spike

Lizzie was premature and we had to fight to keep her alive.  But she was a trooper and fought along with us.  Luckily though this was her mother's first baby, Mango was a great mother with tons of milk.  Lizzie has very silky fiber with a beautiful crimp.  She is very sweet.  Her mother held her next baby full term and he is doing great.  Lizzy won 1st place at SAFF 2009. She is bred to BAL Haggerty for a Spring 2011 baby. $1800

Shangrila's Sambuca
Born 9/29/04
ILR No.  2581557
Shangrila's Jelly Bean x Movin On

Sambuca is a Movin On daughter out of Shangrila's Jelly Bean, a Paso Peru Daughter who is an intense Appy.  She was a great PR llama at Roanoke's Festival in the Park.  She got her first blue ribbon as Heavy Wooled Yearling at SAFF.  She went on to win a first place and Reserve Champion as an Adult. Her first baby took a second and 4th of the Top Five at Five Heavy Wool Male at 5 months and a first and Reserve Grand at 11 months. She is a wonderful mother with tons of milk.  She just delivered a BAL Whizard boy, Stryker.  She is bred back to Power Spike in hopes the appy genes will come through for $3000.

Shangrila's Chablais
Born 11/02/01

This picture was taken last Spring 09 just after shearing.  She has given us outstanding babies, but one was so big that after delivering two successful babies even with prolepses we don't feel it is fair to her to have more babies.  So we are selling her as a guard or pet without papers and a guarantee that she will not be bred.
